office space…

I have many positive attributes and skills – cleaning is not one of them. I guess nobody really likes it, but the difference is that even when I try it never seems to be as clean as if….let’s say….my mom cleaned it! As I get older, I am developing this desire to maintain an “adult” apartment (I’m really starting to miss the days when I didn’t care if I had unmade bed or clothes on the floor). That means everything should have a place, stay clean, and when friend’s come over they don’t have to step over anything. One place in my apartment that really needed help was my office. From my years of doing fashion design, I have collected a lot of stuff and everything was just haphazardly placed on shelves and on top of my desk. I’m not proud of what I am about to show you, but admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery, right?!

officebeforeofficebefore1I never really use my office anymore, but we recently discovered it is a great place for my boyfriend to do his work. I know…work in an office…who knew?! With a project this big, I had to call in the big guns…my mom. She came over and within a few hours we had this place cleaned up and organized (if you can believe it). I love that I now have a place that is uncluttered, organized, and useful. My boyfriend can do his work and I can go into that room without feeling an overwhelming sense of stress. With a small apartment like I have, I am learning the importance of “less is more”. officeafter1officeafterofficeafter2

  • Mom’s are like magic aren’t they… I’m a mom too now but I have not yet mastered this skill πŸ™

    • Moms are the best! I’m sure the skill will come to you soon xo
