three last minute halloween costumes…

www.laircake.com

I don’t remember ever not making my own halloween costume. With the help of my mom, I had some great homemade costumes that I always thought rivaled the other kids store bought looks (notice the fancy Spanish dancer to the right of me in the image above). We always had fun imagining outfits and finding ways to complete the look using as many already-owned items as possible (one year I was an “exhausted mom” and dressed in my bathrobe, pajamas and crazy hair in curlers with dolls hanging off of me).

Even as an adult I look forward to finding items that embody who/what I am trying to be as closely to the real thing as possible. However, being that I’ve been gone pretty much all month has made finding a costume, or really any pre-Halloween decorations, a lower priority. If you’re like me this year and feel as though Halloween has snuck up on you, here are three last minute Halloween costumes that are easy as pie to whip up before Saturday (you probably even have some of these items in your closet already):

Cool Sandy from “Grease”www.laircake.com

  1. one // two // three // four // five

Britney Spears from “Hit Me Baby One More Time”

What are you dressing up as this year?!

All 3 are great ideas. Sandy? Grease? Always a good costume and you can really personalize it. Britney, cute but so many girls do it every single year. Kate, now that would really make people think. Love it!

    • Love your break-down and totally agree. These are really just easy to pull together options if you have nothing to wear. I love that most of these items are probably already in your closet. πŸ™‚

These are great ideas. I’m sure I could pull these off and I probably have most of these pieces already in my closet. Thanks for sharing these with us.

    • They are so easy to pull together. It is fun to think of what you can become with the items in your closet! Happy Halloween! xo

  • These are fantastic! I normally go as a sleepy Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It’s so easy to throw on, even if some people don’t know who I am!
